The Alpena Community College main campus is situated on 700 acres in Alpena, Michigan. Its Huron Shores Campus in Oscoda serves residents in and around Iosco County. Additionally, the College offers selected classes in Rogers City, Whittemore and Tawas City.
ACC offers two-year degrees, one-year certificates, customized training and cultural opportunities. More than 2,000 credit students of different ages and backgrounds are attracted each semester.
AdmissionsAlpena Community College grants admission to all persons who have earned a high school diploma or GED, or who are 18 years of age or older, and who demonstrate the ability to benefit from a particular program of study.
Applications for admission can be obtained in person from the Campus Services at the main campus and at the Huron Shores Campus Office in Oscoda. You can also apply online student completing the application.
The application process involves submitting: 1) a completed application for admission; 2) transcripts of all high school and college work completed.
Financial AidFinancial aid is available to Alpena Community College students through a number of sources, including Title IV federal programs for qualifying students, State of Michigan Competitive Scholarships, Michigan Rehabilitation Services, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and special organizational scholarships and loans.
Scholarships The Alpena Community College foundation offers a large number of scholarships to its students. Many are endowed scholarships established through estate gifts or in memory of friends or loved ones and provide an annual scholarship award in perpetuity.
