The Augustinians of the Assumption, religious congregation, founded the Assumption College in 1904. founded in France in 1850. The College was originally located in the Greendale section of the city. Assumption is a Catholic college known for its classic liberal arts curriculum and strong academic programs in business and professional studies. More than 2,150 undergraduates choose among majors and minors as they explore an educational experience grounded in the rich Catholic intellectual tradition.
