Since its establishment in 1956, Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary has been producing graduates, preachers, lay workers for churches of the Baptist Missionary Association of America and other Christian groups. Campus of BMA Seminary is like a home for a various student community which varies in genders, ages, backgrounds and nationalities. There is one thing which get all the students together — this is the desire to proclaim Christ through their service and life.

BMATS enables the student to: 1) obtain theoretical and practical education which will afford preparation for ministry in the field of his/her calling; 2) develop an attitude of commitment to God and professional dedication toward the service ministries of the church; 3) receive the skills needed to minister effectively in the area of his/her specialization; 4) acquire the foundational experience and education necessary for advanced ministerial or doctoral studies in his/her chosen area of service.

The BMA Theological Seminary Divisions of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate of Divinity, Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts (Religion), Master of Arts in Church Ministries, and Master of Divinity degrees.

The SACS institutional accreditation is used by BMA Seminary to determine institutional eligibility for Federal Student Aid. BMA Seminary (Graduate Studies Division) is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada to award the Master of Divinity and the Master of Arts in Church Ministries degrees. BMA Seminary is a member of the Council of Southwestern Theological Schools, the Forest Trail Library Consortium, and the American Theological Library Association.

Admissions

SAT and ACT score reports are very important, so students will want to check on the specific dates with the university. Furthermore, it is also very important to submit financial aid applications as quickly as possible, students have to check with the university about the specific date for needed year.

Financial Aid
All financial aid is disbursed at the beginning (usually the fourth week) of each enrollment period, one-half at the beginning of the fall semester and one-half at the beginning of the spring semester. Seminary policy requires that all aid be used first to pay tuition, fees, housing costs, or other institutional expenses.
