Bowling Green State University was founded in 1910. The same year the institution was granted a charter by the State of Ohio as part of the Lowry bill, which also established Kent State University.
BGSU has a broad range of strong programs and successful graduates. Many good programs are offered, from outstanding science and graduate programs to innovative learning communities and diverse campus activities. Students are involved in meaningful work, both in and out of the classroom, and upon graduation, they represent the University well as leaders in their work and in their communities.

Financial AidStudent Financial Aid supports access and persistence at Bowling Green State University by providing financial aid to eligible individuals. Student Financial Aid staff are committed to providing accurate, courteous, and timely service to students, parents, and others as well as complying with regulations and expectations set forth by the agencies, organizations, and individuals who provide financial aid funds.
All prospective students are encouraged to complete and submit the FAFSA since there is no processing fee.
