Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is one of the applied technology college campuses in the state of Utah. The College was officially organized under the State Board of Vocational Education and funded by appropriations from the Utah State Legislature in January of 1971.
BATC provides education for more than 400 careers. This College provides occupational education, skills training, and workforce development to support the educational and economic development of the Bear River Region.
AdmissionAny student who is at least 16 years old, who states a technical objective, and can benefit from training is eligible to enroll in a program. Students may enroll at any time during the year, on a space-available basis. Most secondary and adult preparatory programs at Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) will operate on an open-entry / open-exit enrollment basis. BATC also operates short-term, occupational upgrade courses that are generally offered in ten-week increments during four payment periods per year.
To be admitted to one of the preparatory programs at BATC, a student must:
- ave a high school diploma or GED;
- complete ONE of the following:
a. the ACT (with a minimum score of 17) or SAT (with a minimum score of 1,210) within four years of date of enrollment;
b. the Diagnostic Evaluation at BATC;
c. must successfully complete Math I, Computer Literacy, Workplace Relations and Job Seeking Skills;
d. at least one year and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher at an accredited postsecondary institution;
- complete a registration form for admission;
- pay tuition and fees or make arrangements for payment.

Financial AidBridgerland Applied Technology College participates in a variety of assistance programs that help students in covering the costs associated with enrollment in full-time preparatory programs. Students wishing to apply for financial aid may secure information and applications from the Financial Aid Office. Financial aid recipients are required to adhere to the standards of attendance, progress, and conduct as outlined in this catalog and as outlined in policy with the BATC Financial Aid Office.
