Bucks County Community College was founded in 1964 in response to a need for a public two-year collegiate institution to serve graduates of the County's high schools and other citizens of Bucks County who would benefit from an experience in higher education.
Bucks County Community College prepares students to transfer to four-year institutions, enhances students’ performance in the workplace, provides support and services to help students reach academic success. Moreover, the College enriches the cultural, recreational and intellectual life of the community.
Financial AidAt Bucks County Community College there are many options for receiving financial aid. These include grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study opportunities.
Applicants must be:
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents;
- enrolled or planning to enroll for at least six credits, half-time status;
- Federal Pell Grant eligibility is extended to less than half-time students;
- enrolled in a major on a degree- seeking basis;
- not in default status on a previously secured student loan;
- making “satisfactory academic progress”;
- a recipient of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma (GED).
