Cal Maritime is one of only seven degree-granting maritime academies providing the highest quality licensed officers and other personnel for the merchant marine and national maritime industries in the United States — and the only one on the West Coast. Located in Vallejo, California, The California Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) is a unique and specialized campus of The California State University that offers students bachelor’s degrees in international business and logistics, facilities engineering technology, global studies and maritime affairs, marine engineering technology, marine transportation, and mechanical engineering. Cal Maritime is committed to providing each student with a college education combining intellectual learning, applied technology, leadership development, and global awareness.
AdmissionThe California Maritime Academy accepts applicants only for the fall semester. Before the applicants will be admitted to Cal Maritime, they must apply online and must declare a major. The application priority period is October 1 Through November 30 though. Majors remain open beyond those dates. Each majors closes when it is full. There are no impacted programs at Cal Maritime. All applicants who are academically qualified will be admitted.
Financial AidThe Financial Aid Office of The California Maritime Academy is dedicated to providing services to help you during your college career. There are such types of Aid for students Grants, Loans, Scholarships and Federal Work Study.
Your eligibility is based on your Expected Family Contribution. When you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the data you enter is applied to the federal standardized formula to calculate your Expected Family Contribution. The EFC is an estimate of the amount of money you (and your parents, if you are dependent) could reasonably contribute toward college costs.
