CSUMB (California State University, Monterey Bay) is a small public university on the site of the former Fort Ord, on the Central Coast of California. With around 4,000 students, the classes will be small and the students will actually know the names of classmates and professors.

Most of the majors integrate several traditional fields of study to give you the breadth of knowledge and depth of skills so highly valued by employers. Many of the majors incorporate concentrations that also allow the students to focus their studies within the broader interdisciplinary context.

majors in: Biology, Business Admin, Collaborative Health & Human Services, Computer Science & IT, Environmental Science, Technology & Policy, Global Studies, Human Communication, Information Technology and Communication Design, Integrated Studies, Kinesiology, Liberal Studies, Mathematics, Music, Psychology, Social & Behavioral Sciences, Teledramatic Arts, Visual & Public Art, World Languages & Cultures.
CSUMB offers nearly three dozen undergraduate
minors that allow augmenting students major through targeted study in another area. Though a number of CSUMB undergraduate programs
do not offer degrees, they play very important roles by offering General Education courses, minors, or other components of the overall CSUMB curriculum.
CSUMB
financial aid consists of grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. Funds come from federal, state, and private organizations and the university itself. All financial aid awards are based on financial need as determined by federal and state formulas. The exception is scholarships.
