Cedar Valley College is located on more than 300 acres in southern Dallas County. There are horses, cows and 17-acre lake among of the attraction of the College.  It's one of colleges in the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). Students can benefit from its comprehensive curriculum, which includes for credit academic transfer career programs and non-credit continuing education courses. Among those courses are such as real estate, computer technology, foreign languages and music.

More than 4,000 students can use  a 350-seat performance hall, gymnasium, baseball field, and a surgery facility and barn for the Veterinary Technology program. The college is proud of its hands-on veterinary technology program and programs in engine technology, air conditioning and refrigeration, commercial music and office technology.

Admission
Admissions applications are accepted on a year-round basis. There is no cost to apply, and prospective students have an opportunity to apply online or in person. Prospective students who have attended another college previously must submit official transcripts with their application to CVC. Prospective students cannot register for credit classes until they have been accepted to CVC.

Cedar Valley College offers its students FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
The college also participates in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) referred to as FFELP Stafford/FFELP PLUS Loans or Federal Stafford/Federal PLUS Loans.
