Classes are available online, day, evening, or weekend and short-term training is available. The college also has a number of student organizations and an athletic department that includes wrestling, men's and women's soccer, baseball, and softball.
The College offers more than 50 academic programs at our main Rosemount campus plus our Partners in Higher Education site in Apple Valley and IT Training Center in Eagan.
AdmissionAdmission to College academic programs is operated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must complete the following requirements to be eligible for admission:
- Attend Tuesday Campus Visit, or schedule an appointment with a DCTC admissions advisor. (Visiting the campus to meet with an advisor is the best way to navigate the admissions process. Campus Visits are held every Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. No appointment is necessary. If Tuesday visits are not possible, students should contact an admissions advisor.
- Complete and submit application for admission.
- Pay one-time, nonrefundable $20 application fee.
- Complete and submit immunization form.
- Take ACCUPLACER test.
- Possess high school diploma or GED, or achieve qualifying score on ACCUPLACER test.
- Submit transcripts. If the student graduated from high school within the past five years, he/she must submit his/her high school transcript. GED recipients must provide copy of GED certificate. College students or graduates who wish to transfer college credits must provide official college transcripts
Financial AidStudents wishing to participate in the Minnesota State Grant Program must submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the Central Processing System within 30 calendar days of a given semester's start date.
Career ServicesCareer Services at DCTC helps students and alumni develop, evaluate and implement their career plans. Career Services achieves three main objectives:
- Provides students with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to accomplish their career development and job search goals;
- Educates students on career options;
- Encourages students to take the initiative.
