Distance learningTelecourses allow you to take college courses in the convenience of your home. They can be reached in three selections – Traditional, Internet, and Two-Way Interactive Courses. You check out videotapes from the LMC bookstore to study at home or view the tapes in the College's Napier Avenue Campus Learning Resource Center. If you have access to a computer and the Internet, you can study online.
Just as in traditional college courses, you will need to purchase textbooks, complete homework assignments, and take exams. Instructors are available by appointment, phone, or e-mail.
Scholarships and Financial AidLake Michigan College has one of the most affordable tuition rates in the state. We also offer the same types of financial aid as most other colleges including grants, scholarships and work-study opportunities.
Lake Michigan College awards hundreds of scholarships each year based on academic achievement, financial need and special talent. Many LMC scholarships require a FAFSA to be completed as part of the application process. Some scholarships have a December 15 priority deadline while most have a March 1 priority deadline, but applications will be accepted after that date.
