The Lorain County Community College offers a unique and rewarding experience because of its courses, educational partnerships, professors, students, facilities and setting. LCCC experience introduces students to a campus environment and encourages personal exploration, growth and discovery of new interests. It is the only community college in the state that offers a University Partnership. This partnership enables people to earn bachelors’ and masters’ degrees from any of eight Ohio universities without leaving the LCCC campus. Besides, LCCC is the first college in the state to build an advanced technologies center for business and industry.
AdmissionsTo become a student, you should complete the following steps of admission process:
- Complete an Application for Admission (on-line or pick up an application from Enrollment Services).
- Complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form.
- Ask your high school to send an official copy of your transcript to the LCCC Records Office. If you're 18 years old or older and have not received a high school diploma, please request that your official General Education Development (GED) transcript be sent to the LCCC Records Office. Students who are under 18 years old cannot enroll without a GED or Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) application.
- If you have previously attended another college or university, ask all colleges and universities you have attended to submit your official transcripts to the LCCC Records Office.
Financial AidThe first step in the financial aid process at LCCC is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current award year. All students are encouraged to apply early for all scholarships, grants and awards for which they may be eligible. Early application will allow for the completion of routine processing and possible corrections within the federal and state timelines, and will also allow the student reasonable time for personal financial planning.
