Since 1953 Pinnacle Career Institute formerly known as Electronics Institute, a technical college in Missouri has been delivering quality educational programs to the citizens of South Kansas City. Mr. Scott F. Freeman and Jeffrey C. Freeman purchased the school on June 2, 1992, and began to diversify the programs existing on the campus. The school changed its name in September 2002 to more accurately Pinnacle Career Institute and added new programs such as business administration – human resources; business administration – advertising; marketing and public relations; massage therapy medical assistant; medical billing and coding and personal trainer.

For more than 50 years, Pinnacle Career Institute has been helping qualified students find the right direction in life with career training courses in various career fields such as Medical, Health & Fitness, Business and Electronics. Instructors bring real experience to each classroom so students get more than only lectures and theoretical knowledge; they get a chance to apply what they learn. Graduates of PCI feel confident and they can easily perform in their chosen careers because they have all the necessary knowledge and experience.

Pinnacle Career Institute situated in North Kansas City opened its doors in April of 2008. This campus was established as a branch of the South Kansas City campus to meet increasing educational and training needs in Kansas City. This school has programs in business administration – human resources; business administration – advertising, marketing and public relations; medical assistant; medical billing and coding; personal trainer and others. On April, 1998, Scott F. and Jeffrey C. Freeman formed Manufacturers Technical Institute of Kansas, Inc., which on February, 2003, the school changed its name to Pinnacle Career Institute and joined its sister school in Kansas City under the same name. PCI moved to its new location in January of 2004.

With the opening of programs of Distance Education in January 2005, Pinnacle Career Institute continues the process of developing programs that provide training and education that lead to direct entry-level employment.
