Founded in 1946 Pittsburgh Technical Institute, with two convenient locations in North Fayette Campus and Cranberry Center, offers associate degree programs, certificate courses and certification preparation classes for graduates of high school, college and university students, pursuing a new direction or transferring credits, workers searching for financial independence, adults looking for a new start. Associate degree and certificate programs are designed to meet the modern needs of employers by following technologies and industry trends. Technical skills and professional know-how are combined with career related general education to design associate degree and certificate offerings that meet employers’ needs.

Admission
High school diploma or a GED is required. No need to submit your SATs or ACTs.
There is no application fee.
Some programs require a background check or other particular admissions conditions.

Financial Aid
Financial aid has three primary categories:
Grants – financial awards that don’t have to be repaid. Grants are tax dollars are work for you.
Loans – financial awards that must be repaid. Loans are dollars given by a lending institution or institution for the purpose of going to school.
Scholarships – financial gifts that don’t have to be repaid. Scholarships usually recognize outstanding achievement, community service or some personal interest or affiliation.

Career Placement
PTI Graduate Services Department is committed to assisting students and graduates to find employment and provides placement services. A number of students find jobs before they graduate.
