Raritan Valley Community College was founded in 1965 as Somerset County College and opened to its first students in the fall of 1968. College offers more than ninety associate degrees and certificates, including an Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and Certificate Programs and others. The school’s academic departments consist of Business and Public Service, Computer Science, English, Mathematics, Science and Engineering, and Visual and Performing Arts. RVCC also provides customized training programs and non-credit courses, as well as career counseling services.
The College offers degrees and programs in different fields of study such as Business, Computer Science and Technology, Education, Engineering Technology, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, Medicine, Visual and performing Arts and other career oriented programs. College also has partnered with leading colleges and universities of New Jersey to offer courses leading to bachelor's and master's degrees on campus through the University Center.
Financial AidCollege offers different types of financial aid from federal, state, and institutional sources to help to fund education. Financial Aid consists of grants, scholarships, loans, and work study. Students automatically apply for all federal and state aid after completing the FAFSA.
