In 1964 Shoreline Community College opened its doors to just for over 350 students. Shoreline School District Superintendent Ray W. Howard was one of the founders of the College. Nowadays Shoreline is governed by the Board of Trustees of Shoreline Community College, District Number Seven and operates under the regulations of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.
