South Coast College was founded in 1961 in Long Beach, California, as a private college called Stenotype School of Long Beach. College has a rich history of success in helping individuals to improve their lives through education and career training for more than 45 years.

The programs for career training, designed specifically to meet the demands of the workforce and career training needs. South Coast College offers training programs to prepare students for a new, rewarding and exciting career in the rapidly growing medical or legal field. Students can select from a number of hands-on programs Court Reporting, Paralegal Studies, Legal Administrative Assistant; Medical Assisting, Medical Transcription.

Additionally, South Coast College can assist in finding a part-time job while being in school. Many students work on a part-time basis to help pay for their education.
