Spartan has a long extensive history of contributions to the aviation industry. Since 1928 Spartan’s flight School, as an aeronautical college, has been training people. Now Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology is not just simply a training institution, but also community of committed to meeting the needs of the ever evolving world of aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, and other related technological fields. Spartan's flight school is located on a tower-controlled airport with dual runways and maintains a fleet of nearly fifty aircraft for advanced complex pilot training and multi-engine pilot training.

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology offers Associate of applied science degree for Aviation Maintenance, Avionics, Quality Control, and Flight Programs and Bachelor of science/aviation technology management.

Financial Aid
Spartan's Financial Aid Department assists qualified students in gaining supplemental funding to meet the cost of education. Financial aid goal is to provide help to qualified students who wouldn’t be able to attend without assistance.
The types and amounts of financial aid awarded are determined by financial need, academic performance and available funds. Financial aid programs insured or sponsored by agencies of the United States government are available only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Students completing education at Spartan are prepared for many technical career areas. Career Center staff gathers information about employment opportunities, these job announcements are posted and distributed to graduating students and are also made available to alumni. Career strategy seminars are conducted for all graduates to train them in preparing resumes, cover letters, completing employment applications and successfully handling the job interview.
