The University of North Carolina was founded in 1887. Located in a small community, Pembroke is the safest campus among UNC schools, and, according to U.S. News and World Report, it is among the nation's most diverse.

UNCP’s total enrollment is around 6,660 students. The university offers 41 bachelor's and 17 master's degrees. International students are representing 20 countries.

UNCP student-faculty ratio is 15:1 and the average class size hovering is 22 students, Pembroke occupies the enviable position of being able to treat each student as an individual.

Admission
To apply to the University, a student have to:
     - Complete a UNCP application;
     - Send in your $40 application fee;
     - Ask your high school to send transcripts to us;
     - Submit your SAT or ACT scores (UNCP’s codes are 5534 for the SAT and 3138 for the ACT).

Financial Aid
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke offers Financial Aid for those who qualify. It helps remove the financial obstacles for those who wish to get higher education by providing appropriate financial resources.

Pembroke Career Center is to provide a comprehensive program of career development services and activities for all students and alumni.  The Career Center offers services to assist students in clarifying their career choices, defining their job search strategies, and pursuing internship/co-op, employment, and/or graduate school opportunities.
