American InterContinental University (AIU) was founded in Europe in 1970 on the premise that universities should transcend the bounds of the traditional, theoretical approach to education by providing students with a curriculum that prepares them for successful, productive careers. Since that time, AIU has been offering this innovative approach to education at its campuses in Atlanta Buckhead, London, Los Angeles, Atlanta Dunwoody, and South Florida.

This multi-campus institution of higher learning is concentrated on helping students obtain industry-current knowledge and skills as they pursue, build and advance their careers in many of today's most in-demand fields. American InterContinental University offers a wide range of Associate, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.  In addition, AIU Online began in 2001 and was recognized as a separate campus in 2002.

American Intercontinental University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.

Admissions
Candidates entering AIU must first complete the application process. First-time students and transfer applicants must meet the following requirements: 1) submit a complete application for admission; 2) include a $50 application fee with the submission of your application; 3) provide attestation of high school graduation or its equivalent; 4) participate in an admission interview arranged by an AIU Admission Advisor; 5) prospective students whose native language is not English are required to provide proof of English proficiency prior to admission or arrival.

Financial Aid
Each student is provided with a dedicated Financial Aid Advisor who will personally guide them through every step of the financial aid process. Eligibility for Federal financial aid is depend on a number of factors, but regardless of your current income level or financial need, you may still qualify for student financial aid programs that can help offset the cost of your education.
