Angelina College opened its doors in 1968 in six instructional buildings. It was established to meet an educational need of the community. The college subscribes to excellence in programs, instruction, and services offered to the service area and the college district.
With the help of educational services, the college to helps a plenty of individuals to prepare for successful living in a rapidly changing and highly technological world. Angelina College also serves the general, dynamic needs of the changing community in an open enrollment environment.
Interaction between the college and the community are essential to assure vitality in educational programs and services and to improve the economic, cultural, and social life of the community. This commitment is built on the idea that lifelong learning is necessary for the maintenance and improvement of a democratic society and that education helps maximize people's opportunity.
AccreditationAngelina College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degree levels - Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees.
AdmissionsAngelina College admits students without regard for race, color, creed, sex, age, national origin or disability. The college does, however, reserve the right to verify the citizenship and residency status of any prospective student.
Admission to the college does not imply admission to all programs. The student must meet admissions requirements and then the requirements for each program.
Financial AidApplicants for financial aid should apply as soon as possible prior to July 15 for the fall semester and prior to November 30 for the spring semester, in order to receive first consideration.
