Argosy University was formed in September 2001 by the merging of three separate academic institutions: the American School of Professional Psychology, the University of Sarasota, and the  Medical Institute of Minnesota.

Today Argosy University constitutes four colleges within 19 campus locations across the U.S., and also offers degree programs online through its Chicago campus. All of the degree programs available through Argosy's campuses are developed to augment the knowledge, ethical values, and interpersonal skills of professional practice and to foster values of social responsibility.

Admissions
The college admissions process can be daunting and confusing. To make the admissions procedure as easy as possible, the university suggests students have an assistant director of admissions help them through the process by telephone. After receiving the applicant's release form, Argosy requests and pays for the applicants college transcripts.

Financial Aid
A diversity of financial aid options are available, including scholarships, grants, loans, and employment opportunities. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. When searching for financial aid, it is important to search for all options as early as possible.

Faculty
Argosy University has a diverse and experienced faculty at all of its campus locations. Many are extensively published, have conducted research, and have practical experience in their disciplines.
