Blue Mountain Community College was established in 1962. The College provides high-quality programs for college preparation, college transfer, professional/technical, workforce development, and self-improvement that will strengthen the economy and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Blue Mountain Community College currently offers Associate of Arts degrees, Associate of Science degrees, Associate of Applied Science degrees, Certificates, and transfer degrees to four-year colleges.

The College provides dynamic and innovative programs and delivery methods in response to the changing needs of our customers: the students, businesses, industries, and communities of eastern Oregon.

At Blue Mountain Community College participants are able to start: 1) transfer to a four-year university; 2) earn a four-year degree through partnership arrangements; 3) get the professional skills for a new career; 4) enrich their life with a special interest class; 4) upgrade occupational skills.

The main campus is located in northeastern Oregon. The College is located 200 miles east of Portland and nearly the same distance from Seattle, Spokane and Boise.

Accreditation
BMCC is a public by the Northwest Commission on College and Universities (NWCCU).   The college is approved by both the State and Federal Veteran's Administration to offer education and training under the various public laws pertaining to financial aid to veterans.
