Bramson ORT was established in 1942 with its primary aim to serve refugees and immigrants during World War II. It got status of the College in 1977 to provide quality technical postsecondary education and to meet the educational and career needs of the New York community.

Bramson ORT College presents higher education in a caring environment. The programs provided include Accounting, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Electronics Technology, Medical Assistant, and Administrative Assistant.

The faculty and staff of Bramson ORT College are committed to satisfying the ongoing educational and occupational needs of the students by preparing them for meaningful employment, community service, and personal growth.

Bramson ORT College keeps a relationship between coursework and the workplace through the College Business and Industry Advisory Council. Seminars, discussions, courses on-line and video conferencing emphasize College ties with the business community. Students have the opportunity to obtain actual work experience through internships and the use of modern College computer laboratories (Internet, Multimedia, Job Search).

Admissions
The college admits students with a high school diploma or an equivalency diploma who seek challenging careers in Accounting, Business Management, Electronics Technology, Computer Technology, and Office Technology. In order to be eligible for admission to Bramson ORT College a student must be a high school graduate or equivalent, or demonstrate the ability to benefit from a college education as defined under federal regulations.
