Brookdale Community College ensures personal and economic growth through life-long learning, personal enrichment, and business and community development activities, in both credit and noncredit formats, at a wide variety of locations.
AdmissionBrookdale is an open admission college, available to anyone 18 years of age or older, anyone who is a high school graduate or holder of an equivalency diploma. However, the Culinary and Health programs have additional admission criteria.
If you do not have a high school diploma or an equivalency diploma and are 18 or older, you may still enroll at Brookdale. Students wishing to gain equivalency diplomas may do so by completing a sequence of 30 Brookdale credits and passing a test.
All new students - whether interested in a single course or full-time study - must submit a completed Brookdale application form to the Office of Admissions. You may also apply in person by visiting our main campus in Lincroft or online. Those who previously applied or attended brookdale community college in the past, do not need to re-apply.
Financial AidIn order to receive financial aid at Brookdale Community College you must:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED, or have a passing score on all sections of the Accuplacer Placement Exam;
- be a US Citizen or an eligible non-citizen;
- be admitted and matriculated in a degree or certificate program at Brookdale;
- be registered with Selective Service, if you are a male;
- be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by federal, state and/or Brookdale regulations;
- not be in default of a student loan, or owe a refund on any federal grant as stated in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
