Founded in 1959, California State University East Bay has two scenic campuses nestled in the San Francisco East Bay, and a professional development and conference center in downtown Oakland.
Formerly known as Cal State Hayward, Cal State East Bay has some 13,500 students at its campuses on the east side of San Francisco Bay.
University’s 4 colleges offer more than 100 fields of study, with the academic support, faculty advising and career development services to open your world of possibilities.
The colleges are:

- College of Business and Economics
- College of Education and Allied Studies
- College of Science
Cal State East Bay offers an intense academic course of study with a real-world curriculum to prepare students for a lifetime of personal achievement and career success. One may choose among – Undergraduate, Graduate, Credential and Certificate Programs; Continuing Education; Study Abroad; Pre-Professional Programs and Single Subject Matter Preparation Program.
All the locations of the CSUEB offer the continuing education programs. Moreover, there are a number of degrees, which students can pursue online.
CSU East Bay has a variety of forms of financial aid, such as Grants and Scholarships (aid option that does not have to be repaid), Federal Work Study (work for pay) and also Loans (money to be repaid with interest added).
The university is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
