The curriculum of the California State University, Chico is composed of a diverse set of academic offerings and requirements; each designed to build high-quality learning environments both in and outside of the classroom. California State University, Chico offers over 300 undergraduate and graduate academic programs. They include 66 undergraduate majors in the liberal arts and in professional and technical areas. In addition students may choose from a wide variety of minors, teaching credentials, certificates, and graduate programs.
AdmissionTo be considered for admission all first-time freshman applicants must apply during the priority filing period (October 1 - November 30 for fall). SAT or ACT scores are required from all first-time freshmen applicants regardless of GPA and must be taken no later than the December test date. Subject matter requirements must be met with a C or better and may not be completed during the summer term immediately preceding fall admission. All subject matter requirements must be completed prior to high school graduation.
Financial AidMany factors determine eligibility for federal and state student aid programs. Your basic eligibility is decided by the information you provide on the FAFSA. A financial aid package may consist of a combination of different types of aid. There are basic types of financial aid:
