Established in 1922 as Arkansas City Junior College, Cowley College is committed to learning excellence and personal enrichment in an open access environment. The college provides accessible curricula in an environment that promotes individual growth and personal enrichment. The college will facilitate academic growth and the development of life skills.

Students receive a quality education and are provided with the opportunity to take an active role in their success. The College offers a wide range of technical programs to choose from. The advisers will help you with your degree plan and enrollment, provide information on course transferability, and degree programs.

The Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of General Studies, and the College Certificate are offered at Cowley College. A college semester is 16 weeks during the regular academic year. As for the fall semester, it is from mid-August to mid-December and the spring semester is from mid-January to mid-May. but it offers also eight week classes.

Financial Aid
The College provides students with Federal Financial Aid. It is available for those who qualify after completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The federal Financial Aid programs are Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplement Education Opportunity Grants (SEOG), Federal Work Study and the Family Education Loan (FFELP Stafford Loans). The College also provides scholarships. To be considered for it you must have a recommendation from your high schools counselor, ABE/GED instructor or Cowley Coach, faculty or Activity Director or complete the scholarship application process.
