Founded in 1927, Kansas City Kansas Community College is a public, urban, and comprehensive community college committed to excellence in higher education. The college mission is to provide higher education and lifelong learning to the varied communities, primarily in its service area of Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties.
AdmissionFor admission to the College applicants need to complete the following steps:
- Complete an application form and return it to the Admissions and Records Office.
- Provide, after graduation, an official high school transcript (students who graduated at least five years ago or have earned 24 college credits do not need high school transcripts on file); Non-degree seeking students must provide transcripts if the course they are taking requires a prerequisite.
- Provide official college transcripts (non-degree seeking students with a bachelor's degree or higher may disregard this requirement); students are responsible for contacting the institutions they have attended and requesting that their transcripts be mailed directly to the KCKCC Admissions and Records Office.

- Complete the Required Placement Exam as adopted by the Kansas City Kansas Board of Trustees on June 12, 2001.
