Kean University was founded in 1855. Since then it has grown to become one of New Jersey's largest institutions of higher learning. Currently the university occupies over 150 acres in Union and Hillside Townships. Kean University serves some 13 000 students and offers 48 undergraduate and 28 graduate degree programs covering a wide range of disciplines.

Admission
-    Complete the Undergraduate Application and send it to the Office of Admissions;
-    Submit your SAT or ACT scores;
-    Submit an official copy of your high school transcript.
-    Your high school transcript must show at least 16 completed college preparatory units in the following subjects: English – 4, Social Studies – 2, Science (laboratory) – 2, Mathematics – 3.   Applicants who do not meet these requirements may receive consideration under one of our alternate admissions programs.
-    Post-baccalaureate (PBM) and Teacher Certification applicants are required to submit official transcripts from all colleges previously attended.
-    Applicants 25 years of age or older, with little or no college background and no SATs, will be considered through the EPIC Program as part-time students.

Financial aid counselors are on call each day to help with the completion of the financial aid process.
