LeTourneau is a national university, drawing a majority of student body from across the country. LETU students represent almost all 50 states, approximately 20 foreign countries, and more than 45 different denominational groups. LeTourneau serves its community through research and by responding to the need for educational programs to adult students at off-campus sites and educational centers. Academic majors include the aeronautical sciences, business, education, engineering, engineering technology, the liberal arts and natural sciences. LeTourneau attracts students from many nations, sensitizing all students to other cultures.
AdmissionEach candidate is evaluated on his or her academic record, test scores, class rank, and recommendations. Character, leadership, service, and Christian values are also important. LeTourneau is unapologetically Christian in its mission and only admits students who are compatible with the distinctively Christian emphasis of the University and who are likely to profit from a LeTourneau education.
All applicants must have graduated from high school, home-school program or have completed a G.E.D. prior to registration for their first semester in college. Applicants must submit a final official transcript from their high school (freshman applicants only) and from all colleges attended, regardless of the amount of transfer credit to be awarded. Failure to submit official transcripts from all schools attended may result in removal from classes once at LeTourneau. Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to apply on-line as soon as possible.
Financial AidFinancial Aid staff is dedicated to helping you afford a LeTourneau University education. More than 95% of all students receive some form of financial aid.
Forms of financial aid range from gift aid (scholarship and grants that don’t have to be repaid), student loans and work study programs, to a combination of these. Don’t let the price tag keep you from a LeTourneau education — the only way to find out if you qualify for student aid is to apply.
