MATC has been providing skilled workers for the local economy since 1912. MATC offers an extremely broad range of educational services, we are unique in Wisconsin, and our student body is exclusively, richly diverse. Here you will meet everyone from immigrants learning English to university graduates continuing their professional development.
MATC welcomes students of all races and provides a favoring, multinational college environment. The student body is the state’s most diverse in terms of age and social background. The number of workers seeking retraining and college-educated professionals adding skills increase from year to year. Students of MATC come from all walks of life, all faiths, all cultures, all circumstances and all nationalities. The variety that students meet at MATC prepares them for life in an pluralistic American society.
MATC is an open-enrollment institution that means we accept all who want to learn. Applicants usually should take a test called the Accuplacer. This test was designed not to weed out, but to establish a person's starting academic level.
For convenience and access, we operate four campuses, all of which offer night and weekend
classes.
