In the classroom and in the community, students receive a thorough unique education and training for Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees for careers through the University’s six colleges — arts and sciences, business, allied health professions, education, technology and professional studies and lifelong learning.
Financial AidThe Montana State University Billings Financial Aid Office controls state, federal and institutional aid programs devoted to assist eligible students in paying their educational costs. Amount of funding differ and depend upon the student's financial need as well as the amount of funds available. Students who appeal for financial aid are regarded for all financial aid programs for which they are eligible. Aid is offered in the following forms:
- scholarships, grants and waivers – these forms of financial aid do not have to be paid back
- long-term loans – as for this kind of aid, it have to be repaid after the student leaves school
- employment opportunities – this kind of financial aid means that there are created some programs where students work on or off campus and earn money to help pay school expenses
To receive financial aid both undergraduate and graduate students have to apply for it on the FAFSA application.
AdmissionIn order to become a member of college community and have all benefits from educational process, future students have to meet the following admission standards and college preparatory classes:
1) a score of 22 on the ACT
- or a SAT composite score of 1540
- or a 2.50 grade point average
- or a class rank in the upper half (50%) of high school graduating class
2) an ACT Math section score of 18
- or a score of 440 on the SAT Math section
- or a score of 3 or higher on the AP Calculus AB or BC exam
