Morehead State University provides its students with a variety of professional academic programs to assist them in achieving their dreams, as well as to help them be successful in their life goals. Academically, the University offers 78 undergraduate degree programs and 20 academic departments. There are 51 graduate degree programs plus 42 graduate level nondegree programs created especially for professional educators.
AdmissionIn order to apply to Morehead State University a student have to:
1) fill out the undergraduate admissions/scholarship application either:
- online (it is necessary to create an account)
- print an application and submit a copy by mail or fax
2) submit student’s ACT and SAT scores
- minimum ACT score of 18 or SAT of 870 to be admitted absolutely
3) submit high school transcripts and/or college transcripts
- admissions index of 450 to be admitted unconditionally (does not apply for transfer students)
- a student may be admitted provisionally to MSU if his/her Academic Index falls between 400 and 449
Financial AidBefore students will be considered for financial aid, they must complete and submit all the required forms. These forms are available at MSU's Office of Financial Aid. Morehead State University offers the following forms of financial aid:
- grants (a student usually does not have to pay it)
- loans (student or parent borrows this financial aid and it usually has to be repaid)
- student employment
- scholarships (financial aid based on academic achievement)
- other (Military Service, Financial Aid for Vocational Rehabilitation, etc.)
