N.C. A&T was established as the A. and M. College for the “Colored Race”. It is ready to offer more than 58 master’s degree programs, 117 undergraduate degree programs, and Ph.D. programs in electrical, industrial and mechanical engineering; leadership studies; environmental systems and energy. These academic programs are offered by the University through College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, School of Business and Economics, School of Technology, School of Education, School of Nursing, College of Engineering, School of Graduate Studies and Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering.
Career ServiceThe Office of Career Services is devoted to assisting students in their career planning. Corporate employers come on campus in order to interview students for summer internships, post-graduate employment, part-time employment, full-time positions and cooperative education experiences. The Office of Career Services also manages seminars created to teach students skills important for the career search process such as how to interview effectively, how to develop a resume and how to dress for success. Alumni have also access to the career planning assistance.
Financial AidThe main goal of the Student Financial Aid Office is to offer financial aid to students who without such aid would be unable to attend college. The staff of the Financial Aid Office will provide prospective students with information concerning types of financial aid programs, how to apply for aid and all possible ways to help students and their parents to meet the cost of attending North Carolina A&T State University.
