Northwestern is a community in which all learning is framed within the context of a biblical worldview - 30 credits of Bible are integrated into every major. Northwestern College endeavors to provide education that is grounded first and foremost in the truth of the Bible and in God as the Ultimate Reality of the universe. The study of the Bible and theology and the practice of personal spiritual disciplines is the foundation upon which all other disciplines rest. The Northwestern College curriculum is built on its educational values and foundational beliefs. The curriculum affirms the commitment to the mission of the College and the Christ-centered faith. AdmissionNorthwestern College is looking for committed Christian students who want to succeed in the field of their choice. The following are criteria for admitting students:
- Evidence of a new birth in Jesus Christ;
- Likelihood of a successful college experience;
- ACT/SAT-I scores;
- High school and/or home school diploma or GED certificate;
- Ability to contribute to the life of the College;
- Willingness to abide by the patterns of life and conduct of the Northwestern community.
Financial AidThe Northwestern College Financial Aid Office is dedicated to helping students work out a financial aid package that will make Northwestern College affordable. Discounts, scholarships, grants, employment, loans, or payment plans are available to finance your education. Financial aid cannot be awarded until you have been admitted to Northwestern. So, the first step in applying for financial aid is to make sure that you have started the admission process for Northwestern College. There are two steps to begin the financial aid process:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In 2-3 weeks after submitting the FAFSA, you should receive the Student Aid Report (SAR) indicating your eligibility for financial aid.
- Complete the Northwestern College Aid Application.
