Randolph Community College began to operate in 1962 under the direction of the Trades and Industrial Division, Department of Vocational Education as a joint city-county industrial education center. In 1963 the North Carolina legislature established a separate system of community colleges and the College became part of that system.
Randolph Community College offers a wide range of college credit programs in which students can earn associate degrees, certificates and diplomas: Commercial and Artistic Production, Arts and Sciences, Business, Health Sciences and Public Service,
Industrial, Engineering and Transportation and Developmental Studies. RCC also offers a Developmental Studies and a Peer Tutorial program to help students improve their academic skills. Credit and non-credit classes are both offered at Randolph Community College.
As a member of the North Carolina Community College System, Randolph Community College offers adult and occupational education to meet the educational needs not only of the youth and but of adults as well. The College accepts men and women for enrollment in a wide variety of subjects designed to meet the changing technology and complex social development of local community.
Financial AidThe Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs of RCC strives to ensure that no student who can benefit from an RCC education be denied that opportunity due to finances. College is committed to allocating our financial aid resources to help the broadest range of students. Students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for most types of aid.
