Regent University is a private coeducational interdenominational Christian university situated in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The school was founded in 1978 by the American televangelist Pat Roberson as CBN University with a mission to become a preeminent college with a faith-based doctrine. In 1990, CBN was renamed to Regent University.

Regent University is the nation's academic center for Christian thought and action, with a multitude of on-campus and online programs available worldwide. Academic standards for both graduate and undergraduate programs are high and the programs rigorous. Regent is committed to prepare capable men and women to excel not only in mind but also in spirit. Nowadays, more than 4,500 students earn bachelors masters and doctoral degrees at the school's campus in Virginia Beach or via online learning. Hundreds of students of Regent College are pursuing one of these degrees: Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity or Master of Arts. Whether online or on-campus, Regent students enjoy a fully accredited, multi-denominational seminary education where servant leadership, spiritual formation, ministry training and renewal studies are pursued. Joint degrees are also available in conjunction with any of Regent's other seven graduate schools: Business, Communication, Education, Government, Law, Leadership, Psychology and Counseling.
