More than 40 years, Seminole State College continues to adapt and meet the needs of an ever-changing community. While offering high-quality educational programs and services the college provides students and residents of an area with a multitude of resources. In current years opportunities for personal and professional growth abound at the College. What started in 1966 as a few portable classrooms is now Seminole State College of Florida, one of the nation's fastest growing two-year colleges, with six sites spanning Seminole County and enrollment of almost 32,000.

Seminole State College of Florida is a full-service educational institution offering its first four-year degree, a bachelor's in interior design; two-year college-credit degrees (A.A., A.S.); specialized career certificates; adult education; continuing professional education and an array of culturally stimulating events, including musical and theatrical performances, planetarium shows and timely guest speakers.

SCC offers Associate degrees. It offers associate in science, associate in arts degrees, specialized career certificates, adult education, continuing professional education, English for academic purposes courses and a Language Institute. SCC also offers a wide range of certificate programs and degree to meet even the most exceptional needs. Students are free to select from traditional year-round classes, cooperative education opportunities and distance learning courses. The college also offers more than 100 majors and several academically advanced programs. Many of SCC's courses and degrees transfer straight to Florida's public colleges and universities. Some of programs prepare students to enter the work force directly upon completion.

The college is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). It’s award-winning faculty and programs are as diverse as students.
