Snead State Community College, founded in 1898, has built a reputation of providing quality academic and career technical programs. College evolved from a small mission school established by Mrs. Anna D. Elder. The College has successfully meshed its proven method of teaching with cutting-edge technology.

The college offers more than 40 degree programs to over 6,000 students at the bachelor's, master's and even doctoral levels. Programs of study include academic transfer, career and applied technology, continuing education and workforce development.

Snead State Community College offers associate’s degrees and certificates. Special programs contain honors program, evening program, accelerated program, two-year transfer program and dual enrollment for students of high school. The programs of study include: Associate in Science Degree, Associate in Occupational Technology Degree and Associate in Applied Science Degree. There exist a lot of subjects under the Associate in Science Degree; these subjects include Accounting, Adult Education, Advertising, Agriscience Education, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, Criminology, Human Services, Forestry and others. The College also offers the Statewide Articulation Reporting System.

Admission Information
Snead State Community College proposes an open-door admission policy to assure most preferable higher educational opportunities for community. ACT, SAT isn’t required for admission. The College admits eligible applicants at the beginning of the fall semester, spring semester and summer term.
