The most distinctive academic building on campus is Hawkins Hall, located on Beekman Street. Hawkins Hall replaced the original Plattsburgh Normal School which burned to the ground at that same location in 1929. Champlain Valley Hall is the oldest building on campus. 

Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office at SUNY College at Plattsburgh processes over 50 million dollars in financial assistance each academic every year. Assist is offered from federal, state, institutional and private programs.


The State University of New York application is accepted by most of the 64 SUNY Campuses. This allows every student to apply to multiple campuses with one application.

Students applying through the SUNY Application will need to submit the following:
1. Letter of Recommendation
2. Online Supplemental Application for Transfer Students
3. Official College Transcript(s)
4. Official High School Transcript
5. SUNY Common Supplemental
