Plattsburgh State's remarkable campus culture and environment combine with an exceptionally high quality of teaching to produce success for students.
The Plattsburgh experience challenges students to discover their potential, to seek new intellectual horizons, and to learn skills that can turn dreams into realism. This is an experience that calls students to explore new ground and reach still greater heights of execution.

The most distinctive academic building on campus is Hawkins Hall, located on Beekman Street. Hawkins Hall replaced the original Plattsburgh Normal School which burned to the ground at that same location in 1929. Champlain Valley Hall is the oldest building on campus.

The Financial Aid Office at SUNY College at Plattsburgh processes over 50 million dollars in financial assistance each academic every year. Assist is offered from federal, state, institutional and private programs.
