The main goal of the Department of Athletics is to afford student-athletes, men and women, the opportunity to participate in a challenging and competitive athletics program. Being an international institution of higher learning, varsity athletics programs and intramural sports offerings must appeal to the diverse needs of global student body.
University’s administrators, coaches, and athletics department staff are dedicated to maintaining the University’s reputation for integrity and excellence, both on ad off the playing fields. Every athletic contests, practices, and related activities will be conducted in total compliance with the principles of fair play and amateur athletic competition, as defined by the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
Online LearningUniversity of Bridgeport's School of Continuing and Professional Studies and its Office of Distance Learning pioneered the first online graduate degree program in the State of Connecticut. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges , UB Online has been offering courses online since 1997. UB Online offers a wide range of programs and courses that allow student to attend class anytime from anywhere. All student need is a computer, access to the Internet, and email, and person can take courses or complete degree from the comfort in home or office.
Financial Aid In order to receive federal or state aid,student must be a citizen, or an eligible non-citizen. Foreign students are eligible for institutional aid and may qualify for certain types of loans, which require a credit-worthy, citizen to co-sign.
