The University offers four-year degrees in a number of fields in five academic divisions, as well as graduate degrees in Education delivered wholly online. Available majors include Business Administration, Business Education, Office Management, Computer Information Systems, and Career and Technical Education. Minors in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing.
Distance and online education options include a Master of Education, graduate and undergraduate programs in Technology Education, and an endorsement in English Language Learners/English as a Second Language.
Located on the banks of the Sheyenne River, the VCSU campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features beautifully restored historic buildings. The residence halls include many amenities, easy access to parking, and spacious, recently-remodeled apartment suites. Almost every building on campus has high-speed wireless network access including residence halls, every building with classrooms, the Student Center, the library, even the football stadium
Financial AidVCSU strives to help students/parents in seeking out aid to help with goals for a college education within federal guidelines. Numerous scholarships are awarded to new Valley City State University students each year. Awards are very competitive and although the priority deadline is passed, VCSU continues to award scholarships. The school participates in many federal programs including Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, Academic Competitiveness Grant, Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent, TEACH Grant, Work-study, Perkins Loans and the various Stafford Loan programs (including subsidized and unsubsidized).
