Western Seminary has established a number of highly visible and forward-looking programs. It was one of the first schools to offer the Doctor of Ministry degree. In 1981, Western launched an innovative video instruction program which quickly expanded to serve hundreds of students per year in study centers across America and overseas.

WS is accredited to award master's and doctor's degrees by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and is an accredited member of the Association of Theological School (ATS).

Western Seminary has developed many solutions to help non-residential students complete their coursework.

Admission
Applications generally are specific by degree, and requests for information should indicate the program of interest. In general admission materials include official transcripts from all postsecondary schools, institutes, seminaries and universities.

Applicants should submit all application materials (forms, fees, essays, recommendations and transcripts) to the campus to which they are applying as early as possible, but no more than one year before the semester that they intend to start.

Financial Aid
Though there are various types of financial aid available, it is expected that a student will provide the majority of the total amount required to meet expenses.
