WUHS is a graduate university of medical sciences that produces, in a humanistic tradition, health care professionals and biomedical knowledge that enhance and extend the quality of life in modern communities.
Western University of Health Science is one of the largest graduate schools for the health professions in California offering programs from eight colleges. They are: College of Allied Health; College of Osteopathic Medicine; College of Graduate Nursing; College of Pharmacy; College of Veterinary Medicine; College of Optometry; College of Dental Medicine; College of Podiatric Medicine. Degrees are awarded in the areas of optometry, dentistry, physical therapy, physician assistant and osteopathic medicine. Current enrollment is around 2,650 students. Faculty: Student Ratio is 13:1.
University offers programs in osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, nursing, optometry, dentistry, podiatric or veterinary medicine.

Many students are involved in WesternU’s clubs and organizations. The 70+ organizations range from cultural and religious clubs to nationally affiliated professional organizations to interest groups such as the Triathlon Club, Pomona Community Health Action Team (PCHAT) & Humor As Medicine Club (HAM).
