Western Wyoming Community College tries to provide students with lots of choices, and does not tend to focus on only a few programs of study. The college offers more than 70 degree programs, a variety of certificates, associate degree, and selected four-year degree programs in collaboration with the University of Wyoming in Laramie. WWCC also offers distance learning through online courses and programs.
Admission Firstly, a student should complete and submit the application for admission (U.S. residents only) as well as an official copy of the high school transcript (must have an official signature and graduation date). If the student has been out of high school more than five years, he/she may simply submit a copy of his/her diploma or GED certificate. Its necessary to submit an official copy of transcripts from all colleges the person has previously attended. The admission office strongly encourages students to submit ACT or SAT test scores as they are used for advising and scholarship purposes. They are not necessary for acceptance.
Financial Aid The goal of the financial aid office staff is to help students fund their college education. It is able to help students do it with the many scholarships, grants and loan programs that are available. In fact, it awarded over $4 million dollars in financial aid last year. The funding it uses to award scholarships and grants include federal, state, institutional, foundation and private funding sources. So, if the student has a talent that makes him/her an excellent scholar, athlete, actor, dancer, singer, artist, welder, student leader (and many others!); he/she just might be able to utilize that talent to secure a scholarship to help fund his/her education at Western.
